Three New York Breweris Named Best In U.S. To Visit
While Yardbarker is predominantly a sports outlet, they know a thing or 2 about beer. It just goes with the territory! Their beer experts recently set out to determine the 20 best breweries in the nation to visit, and 3 from the Empire State made their list, including one in Upstate New York.
Brooklyn Brewery
Let's start at Brooklyn Brewery which has become a world-class brewery over the years.. Yardbarker credits their James Beard award-winning brewmaster Garrett Oliver for its success, and says any no visit to Brooklyn "...is complete for a beer lover without stopping by this taproom."
Southern Tier
We head to the southwest corner of New York to Lakewood on the shores of Chautauqua Lake for the 2nd of 3 New York breweries on this list. Souther Tier is regarded by many as one of the best breweries in the state, and Yardbarker agrees!
Brewery Ommegang
No surprise here that Brewery Omemgang made Yardbarker's top 20 breweries list: the views and setting at their Cooperstown brewery are just as excellent as their craft beers. Add great concerts and events on top of that, and you have one of the best brewery destinations in the country right here in Upstate New York! And oh yeah, Yardbarker loves the fact the Baseball Hall of Fame is also nearby!
