A man from East Haven, Connecticut was traveling through the Capital Region over the weekend, and is now in trouble with the law.

He allegedly drove his car off the road on Route 9 in Halfmoon in front of a New York State Trooper that was on patrol.

The Trooper went to check on the driver. He wasn’t injured, but the Trooper discovered something else, which lead to the arrest of 47-year-old John Schleifer. It was determined that Schleifer allegedly had a Blood-Alcohol Content of .12 percent. According to the story on News 10 ABC, Schleifer was given several tickets and released, and has a later court date.
