Thomas Rhett has officially released his second single from his third studio album, Life Changes. Early Friday morning (July 28), Rhett dropped "Unforgettable," which is the record's second track.

Written by Rhett, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally while on tour, "Unforgettable" is a mid-tempo love song. Lyrics include “I can smell your perfume / Girl, that night was just like you / Unforgettable" and "From your blue jeans to your shoes, girl, that night was just like you / Unforgettable."

“We kind of told the story of -- basically, it could be a boyfriend or it could be a husband, describing to his wife all these amazing details that she probably thought he’d forgotten about," Rhett says. To the Tennessean, he adds, "If you listen to it hardcore enough, it might make you tear up a little bit. Especially if you’re in love with somebody.”

"Unforgettable" gets bonus points for earning the approval of Rhett's wife Lauren, too. Readers can press play below to hear it, and see a lyric video for the track.

In terms of Rhett's single releases, "Unforgettable" follows the No. 1 song “Craving You,” a duet with Maren Morris. Both songs appear on Life Changes; "Craving You" is the disc's lead track. Rhett officially announced the album on Thursday (July 27), sharing, among other details, that it's scheduled for release on Sept. 8.

Rhett is currently on the road for his Home Team Tour. He and Lauren welcomed their adopted daughter Willa Gray home in May, and their first biological child -- also a girl -- is due in August.
