It was announced yesterday that the 2016 Christmas tree that will be displayed at the world famous Rockefeller Center will be coming from Oneonta!

A Norway spruce from a backyard in Oneonta will be cut down Nov. 10 and will arrive in Manhattan Nov. 12, according to NBC 4 New York.

More than 50,000 multi-colored LED lights and a Swarovski star will decorate the Norway spruce from a backyard in Oneonta!  The tree is scheduled to be cut down on the 10th of November and then will arrive in the city on the 12th.

The annual "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" tree lighting ceremony will air on November 30 at 7 pm!

If you want to make a trip to see the tree, it'll be up until January 7.
