The Capital Region Will Be Well Represented In the Superbowl
When the Falcons and Patriots take the field this evening, both sides will have guys representing the Capital Region.
So even if you do not have a horse in this race, you will still have plenty of guys to root for. According to the Times Union, there will be two members on each team from the Capital Region.
On the Patriots side of the ball, running back Dion Lewis is an Albany native and Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia played and coached for RPI. On the Falcons side, Clifton Park native Joe Vellano plays defensive tackle and Josh Keyes of Chatham is a linebacker.
So when you think about it, no matter who wins today, the Capital Region will be taking home a few Superbowl rings today. Good luck to all the guys representing US!
