Teddy Bear and Banquet Auction For Ronald McDonald House
You’ll be able to bid for a hand-crafted teddy bear and collectable manufactured bear at the Teddy Bear Auction and Banquet, with proceeds to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities, in Albany.
Most of us had a teddy bear when we were little children, and most of our kids had a teddy bear, too.
This Sunday, October 23, at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road, you can get a teddy bear for that special little one in your life, and it’s all for a great cause. With the holidays just around the corner, this might be a good time to get a head start on your holiday shopping.
For the adults, the entry fee is $30 dollars, and you can bring the kids for just $20 dollars. (Remember, it’s for charity) Not only can you maybe get a special teddy bear, you can enjoy dinner at 4:30 p.m. and maybe win something with some of the raffle drawings. You can get there as early as 1:30 p.m. and spend the afternoon thinking about your holiday list. There are also people who collect teddy bears as a hobby, and this would be something that you probably don’t want to miss.
The teddy bear is such a great security toy for a young child. Both my kids had one, and I had a teddy bear when I was a kid. It was a blue and white bear. I believe it got handed down to my nieces and nephews. I’ll bet you had a teddy bear, or some sort of a stuffed animal when you were a child.
