Trust me my friends, winter is not done with us yet! I think that much like with anything in life that is miserable, or stressful or even tragic you just have to have a sense of humor about it. Even better than that though is to laugh at other people who are in the same boat as you are!

In the Albany area, we have been battling big snow storms and very windy and cold days.

While we face bitterly cold temperatures and Wind Chill Warnings in The Albany, New York area, Western New York has been under a Blizzard Warning and parts of the New York State Thruway remain closed.

About a year and a half ago, winter storms started to get names.

Although the snow has stopped in many parts of the WGNA listening area, it is recommended that you not travel tonight due to blowing and drifting snow.

It didn't take long for us to get the first major winter storm of the New Year!

'Hercules' is pounding the Northeast with a massive amount of snowfall, wind and icy cold temperatures. However, The Weather Channel is the only outlet calling the storm by name!

It was a cold and stormy afternoon.  Sean and Bethany were forced to stay late at the office.  What happened next was foreseeable, but unfortunate.

So I have this snowblower – a very old snowblower.  Every year around this time I try to start it,  and every single time it has never failed to fire up within three starts.  Let's see if it maintains it's great tradition this season.

Several ski slopes and resorts opened this weekend throughout the Albany-Adirondack area.
