Garth Brooks is planning his first studio album release since 2003! He's also planning a major world tour and a television special that will be directed by none other than Martin Scorsese! No details have been released on the project, but there is speculation that this would be a solo project for Brooks, with a possible duet track with his wife, Trisha Yearwood...

Trisha Yearwood says she and Garth Brooks have plans to begin work on an album that's been talked about for almost as long as they've been married. In addition to that, the singer and her husband have plans for a joint tour.

While soap operas and talk shows certainly dominated the Daytime Emmy Awards Sunday night (June 16), country music was strongly represented, with Little Big Town and Trisha Yearwood both earning prestigious trophies for daytime entertainment.

Country couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are talented, successful, rich and beloved by the country community and the fans. And if we're talking about Trisha only, we can use the term a "good cook," too. They seem to do and have it all. But the twosome never forgets the less fortunate, as they traveled to Haiti to aid Habitat for Humanity missions.

Today, Mrs. Garth Brooks AKA Trisha Yearwood celebrates her 48th birthday. I have been a Trisha fan ever since her first song "She's In Love With The Boy" hit the airwaves. I have said on numerous occasions that she is one of the reasons, along with her now hubby Garth, that I am the country music fan that I am today!

Trisha Yearwood was born in Monticello, Georgia. In School she was a straight A student, along with her sister Beth.

Countryfest 2011 is just around the corner at the Altamont Fairgrounds on July the 9th. I look forward to the show every year.
