We are experiencing an extremely dangerous heat index this weekend and to make sure communities can keep cool, a lot of cities and towns are extending pool hours and adding cooling stations.

I know we are in the middle of the winter, but there is good news for a Capital Region city and their pools for the summer. There is funding available but they may run into a slight problem.

Even though we are heading into winter, there is a push for a local city to finally get their pools back in the upcoming summer.
