political correctness

Another day, another controversy.  This time it's everyone's favorite - Starbucks.  They might have stepped in a big pile of doo-doo this time (unless it was purposeful to get us all to talk about Starbucks, in which case they are brilliant)  But nonetheless…

I was definitely affected by a story we covered the other day about a task force set out to make Halloween costumes less offensive. I'm definitely on board with this.  We are not sensitive enough these days.

This warning is for all dog,  hamster or bird owners.  (Cats don't care, they'll just ignore you).  But seriously, this is an actual warning from the Journal of Animal Ethics.

If there is one thing that I really , really just don't understand it's political correctness.  Where did free speech go?  Without people feeling free to say what is on their minds, how will we know where they really stand?
