Hundreds of towns and cities across the United States go all out for Christmas every year. Some places put up impressive light displays, while others set up festive holiday markets. But there's one small town in our backyard that does Christmas better than anywhere else in the country: Lake Placid.
While many of the local parades and gatherings have already been canceled, in some areas, events may be planned. On Tuesday, Governor Cuomo told the citizens of New York what to expect for Memorial Day in terms of ceremonies and gatherings. He noted that while it's important to honor our veterans on Memorial Day, we need to do so according to CDC guidelines. This will impact traditional parades
What started off as a morning show conversation about a school in Massachusetts doing away with Halloween, turned vocal and local this morning. Turns out Boyden Elementary School (outside of Boston) isn't the only school doing away with it, it's happening quite a bit here in the Capital Region as well. Does this seem a little extreme to you?
This is an astounding accomplishment. Think about this- a fire department celebrating it's (wait for it) 150th anniversary!!! This calls for a celebration, and what's a celebration without a parade?

I happened to see part of the 46th Annual Troy Flag Day Parade On Sunday. I think I caught the tail end of it. Even THAT part was exciting, especially seeing the drum section. Why? Glad you asked...
