We love these kids clothes for Ryan and after hearing that the company is filing Chapter 11, they could be closing forever here in the Capital Region.

Another store will close at the end of this summer. It's sad to see all of these stores that we counted on to be in our malls going away. It seems the malls are making room for more entertainment rather than retail.

Maybe I've been living under a rock or maybe the music within the franchise FYE (standing for For Your Entertainment) but I never knew that the man behind the music chain was from Albany, NY. Not only was he from our Capital Region but he also continued to have the home base for the music store locally as well.

I've been helping a friend go through his parents basement a bit to weed stuff out. Next thing I knew I came across this Key to Albany Guider Magazine from 1967 with the title: "Christmas Is Colonie Center!" What stores were included? How did the blurb describe the new mall? Remember, malls were a new thing!

No one likes waiting in lines. We want everything at our finger tips. Well, now we have it.

It's not your typical mall parking lot story. No one was robbed. No one was injured or had a sudden medical emergency. No, this was just a man...in his car...um, "doing things."

BJ's Brewhouse, an eatery that serves deep dish pizza and more, will be setting up shop in the old Sears Auto Center.

A brand new store is schedule to be coming to Colonie Center in 2015.

Organic and specialty supermarket replaces wrenches and tires as Whole Foods Albany continues construction on their Colonie Center location, right where Sears once sat. While Whole Foods hasn't set an official start date, they are hoping to open late Spring. Oh, they are looking to fill 200 positions.

A fire alarm forced an evacuation of Colonie Center on Sunday evening.
