Over the next two Sunday Mornings (1/6/13 and 1/13/13) WGNA presents the music of the stars of the Million Dollar Quartet on the Classic Country Hall of Fame Show.

On New Year's Day 2013, Patti Page died at the age of 85. Known as one of the great pop vocalists of her time, she was welcomed to Country Music via her hits 'Money, Marbles and Chalk' and 'The Tennessee Waltz.'

Every Sunday Morning I feature the best in Classic Country Music on 1077 GNA. Another outlet for my passion of Classic Country is writing features for TasteofCountry.com. The gang at TOC recently asked me to compile a list of my favorite Kenny Rogers songs.

It's not often that a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry makes a stop in the Albany-Saratoga area. Add in the credits of the most recorded songwriter in Country Music history and television host, and you know you're going to get a great show.

In honor of Veteran's Day 2012, I wanted to share one of my favorite songs that honors the vets. In 1989, the Statler Brothers scored their final top 10 hit with a song titled 'More Than A Name On A Wall.'

With current stars like Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban winning the CMA's Entertainer of the Year award, I thought it would be fun to remember the first stars of Country Music to win the CMA's Entertainer Of The Year Award.
