It's not often that a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry makes a stop in the Albany-Saratoga area. Add in the credits of the most recorded songwriter in Country Music history and television host, and you know you're going to get a great show.

On Sunday, November 11, 2012 Whisperin' Bill Anderson delivered a delightful afternoon of storytelling, jokes and music that spanned the decades to entertain a very modest, but appreciative crowd at the Saratoga Music Hall. The 75 year old belted out the hits that made him famous and entertained the upstate New York crowd just like he was on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry.

Highlights included:

Stories behind the hits 'Give It Away' and 'Whiskey Lullaby'

Bill's tribute to recent Hall of Fame inductee Connie Smith

Flawless renditions of his No. 1 hits 'Mama Sang A Song' and 'Still'

The Veteran's Day tribute of 'Deck Of Cards' and 'God Bless America Again'

Jokes and Stories that charmed the crowd

Fan club members presenting a giant Birthday card signed by everyone at the show

Bill personally meeting every fan after the show

If you were one of those that supported LIVE Classic Country Music on this very special afternoon with a legend, I 'Thank You!'  Please leave your review of the show in the comment section below.
