Pronunciation is important! Especially in Massachusetts! No one ever wants to mispronounce anything, ever. It can totally bring a conversation to a halt. Typically, before you even attempt to pronounce something that you're not exactly sure about, the best thing to do is ask someone else. Or maybe just Google it, duh! It just so happens that Massachusetts has more than a few cities and towns that are mispronounced quite often.

Living in Upstate New York has its benefits, especially during the winter months. A new study was done that ranks the best cities in the United States for winter holiday destinations. Three in Upstate New York finished in the top fifty.

Amtrak has announced an abbreviated schedule for its service north of New York City. The new schedule is to eliminate the number of people traveling in large groups due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The FBI data doesn't lie: two local cities are among the state's most dangerous.

There seems to be a surge in population north of the Twin Bridges. Saratoga County has boasted most of the growth in population in the last eight years. Two towns specifically had the most in New York state.

New York Upstate has ranked the most dangerous cities in Upstate New York based on FBI crime data.

Upstate New York farther north than just the Capital Region can be quite serene on a winter morning. Are we home to one of the best winter towns?

Yesterday, I told you which of our beautiful cities/towns were considered the safest in the state. Today, lets get to the highest crime rate! Okay, I shouldn't sound so excited about that. The exclamation point was maybe the wrong choice of punctuation given the subject at hand. But, still, lets get to the facts.

This may be somewhat of a curve ball for some, not the town that first comes to mind when you think of wealthy small towns.

You'd be surprised.  The Capital Region seems to be doing pretty well, but there are a lot of American cities that are losing population, and upstate New York did make the list!  Check below.
