When you think of a couple going on a honeymoon what do you think of? Most would go to a tropical location like the Bahamas or Cancun. Maybe Go to Disneyworld or possibly Las Vegas.

. It was  big weekend for country super stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert as well as the country music world.

He premiered the song last month at the ACM awards and now Blake Shelton has a video for his big hit we've been playing here on WGNA,  "Honey Bee".

The Music and Memories of May 9

Being a person who loves to sing, I have become a big fan of many of the singing competitions on TV. Whether it's American Idol or Nashville Star, I will be tuning in. I am really interested in the new singing competition that has been heavily hyped on NBC called "The Voice".

People Magazine has come out with their special, double issue for 2011, featuring "People's" Most Beautiful List, but who was there top vote?

Lately political correctness has gotten out of control.  More often then not the person telling you the story didn't hear it from the horses mouth. I agree that as people we need to think before we speak but I also think  we need to not take ourselves so seriously.

Countryfest 2011 with WGNA-FM is July 9th at the Altamont Fairgrounds and our headliner is country Superstar Miranda Lambert. Other than the fact that she is the hottest thing in country music right now, and that she is getting married to Blake Shelton there are some really cool factoids about Miranda that you may not know.

Songwriter Harley Allen passed away this morning at the age of 55 after a battle with Lung Cancer.  You may never have heard his name, but you know some of the tunes he has written for some big country stars.

With the ACM awards this coming Sunday, country music stars will be all over the talk show circuit this week to get you geared up for the show.

Warner Brothers music is a pretty happy place these days, especially when it comes to the country division of the label in Nashville.
