It was  big weekend for country super stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert as well as the country music world. Shelton and Lambert got married down in Texas.  The two have been together for six years and got engaged last May.  The wedding was held Saturday night at Texas' Don Strange Ranch, according to Us Weekly.  Though not many other details have been released yet on the actual ceremony, here is what we do know.

Shelton, who is now 34-years old, was previously married to Kaynette Williams.  The marriage only lasted for three years from 2003 to 2006 and the couple never had any children.  Lambert (our Countryfest headliner) is 27 and has never been married.  Though pictures of the wedding are still under lock and key, some of the guests at their wedding included Shelton's ACM co-host and good friend Reba McEntire as well as one of his co-stars of "The Voice" Cee Lo Green.  Other big names were Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, and married couple Katherine Heigl & Josh Kelley.

For the big day, Lambert's dress was something borrowed -- she wore her mother's wedding dress in front of a total of 550 guests, also according to Us Weekly.

While it was interesting to get a sneak peak at Carrie Underwood's engagement ring when she was here  back in February of 2009, I think I'm more excited to see Miranda's bling and her in concert at this year's Countryfest 2011.  I had the pleasure of meeting her at Countryfest 2005 and she was friendly, cute, humble and eating a brownie!  My kind of person to hang around with.

Though I didn't see Miranda perform that year because she was one of the first two acts (and I was my usual, punctual self), this year's performance could top her hubby's from last year -- though that's going to be a hard performance to beat!

What do you think?  Did you see Blake's performance at last year's countryfest?  Do you think his wife is going to out-do him?  I think so.  It's definitely going to be a performance I don't want to miss.  Just look at how much fun she has when she performs.
