Summer Songs For 2012 — Scott’s Picks [VIDEOS]

This past weekend was the unofficial start of summer and the weather has been warm so much like last year, I thought I would put us in a summertime mood with this year's summer songs. Songs I feel opitimize the season. These tunes are absolutely perfect for a nice drive with the windows down while the sun is shining.

1. Got My Country On -- Chris Cagle

Whether you're in the country or in the city, you got to get you're country on and have a little fun during the summertime. This song is perfect for this time of year.

2. Drunk On You -- Luke Bryan

The song is all about the summertime , so it makes it a wise choice to be on my list. A song that takes you to a country bonfire having fun with friends and having your eyes on a pretty lady.

3. Springsteen -- Eric Church

"Funny how a melody sounds like a memory, like a soundtrack to a July Saturday night"  These are such perfect lyrics for a summer song. Even more so when he is singing them on a July Saturday night at Countryfest 2012.

4. Somethin' Bout A Truck -- Kip Moore

Kip's very first song and very first #1 hit sets the scene nicely for a nice summer day. A truck, a beer and a girl in a red sundress.

5. Shinin' On Me -- Jerrod Niemann

Jerrod Niemann's brand new tune is a nice little diddy about not having a care in the world and just letting the sun shine on him. That's what the summer is all about!
