Someone Saw A Bear In Halfmoon
Some people reported seeing a bear roaming in the area of Vosburgh Road in Halfmoon.
Apparently the bear was spotted looking through some trash cans in the area of the Vosburgh Mobile Home Park. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area, but they have not seen anything.
The residents of the area have been told to make sure that there is no garbage or food in their yards. They should also remove any suet feeders or bird feeders. Another thing they have been told was to not keep their pets outside.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has been called and are keeping an eye on the situation. A dispatcher reported that the bear was reported to have been seen in the area before, because they are drawn to several items and also by trash.
According to the story from CBS 6 Albany, if anyone spots a bear to please give a call to 9-1-1.
