At least 14 people were killed and 50 were wounded after a mass shooting at an early morning screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” at a suburban Denver movie theater. According to reports, a man in a long coat entered the Century Aurora 16 movie theater as the premiere began, released tear gas canisters into the crowd and opened fire. A witness said there was confusion in the theater when the shooting began because many believed the sound of gunfire was coming from the movie next door. The heavily armed suspect, who was wearing a bulletproof vest, was apprehended by police in a parking lot at the theater.
