See 5 Planets in November Sky
There are some cool things to look for in the pre-dawn and night sky this month without using a telescope. Here's how you can see five planets this month. There are some perks about getting up at 3:30 in the morning and being out of the door by 4:15 am every day. I always get to appreciate the stars and the night sky before dawn. This month it's even cooler to look at. You can see five planets at nightfall and in the pre-dawn hours.
According to News 10 ABC, you are able to see Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars just after sunset. If you look to the eastern sky, you will notice a bright spot which is Mars. The bright star to the west is Jupiter. You can also see the planet Saturn five degrees to the east of Jupiter. If you are directionally challenged like me, you can use the width of two fingers held out at arm's length.
Before the sunrise, when I am heading off to work in the pre-dawn hours, you are able to see Venus. It is the brightest star in the sky at that time of day. Mercury is also visible but not as bright as Venus. You will be able to spot Mercury because it is below Venus and near the horizon. Mercury is duller now in the early part of the month but will rise in the sky and get brighter as the month goes on.
