The "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" is coming to the Capital Region this May. This is a 360-degree immersion into the paintings, sketches, and drawings of Vincent Van Gogh. It has toured the world and over two million people have viewed this amazing experience. Soon it will be our turn.
What is the "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience"?
The expo is a one-of-a-kind art exhibit that features the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh in a digital 360-degree experience. There are two-story projections of the artist's most famous paintings with a twenty thousand square foot light and sound immersion. The experience also uses virtual reality. This is done through the part of the exhibit called "A Day in the Life of the Artist in Arles, France". You will feel like you are actually inside some of Vincent Van Gogh's works.
Where in the Capital Region Can We See This Experience?
It was just announced that Schenectady will be hosting the "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" at Schenectady's Armory Studio at 125 Washington Avenue. The exhibition will run from May 26th through the next several months. The Armory Studios has recently been a host site for the filming of Pretty Little Liars. Major film studios have used this venue to film other projects too. The 50-foot ceilings make this the perfect location for this amazing Van Gogh exhibit.
