Schenectady Adds Manpower to Fight Against Heroin
I think it's safe to say we've all known someone who was effected the use of heroin. It's a highly addictive drug that can destroy lives. Thankfully, Schenectady County is fighting the good fight for us but is it enough.
Sources at News 10 ABC The Schenectady County District Attorney has signed on two additional officers to help fight the local heroin epidemic.
I'm not trying to discredit the local police or these two officers but with the growing heroin issues, will two officers make a difference in the long run?
To show how large heroin use is in the United Sates, according to Rehab.com, over 900,000 people ages 12 and up had tried heroin and almost 500,000 of them had suffered from a heroin related addiction.
Do you think the two additional officers will be enough to help fight against the heroin issues in the Capital Region? Also, is it enough that the manpower is only being added to Schenectady County?
