Advance Auto Parts Announces Closures Across US

Another national chain has announced nationwide closures due to declining sales.

it has been a rough year for retail and restaurant closings, affecting several businesses here in the Capital Region.

TGI Friday's, LL Lumber, Red Lobster, American Freight, and Big Lots, are some of the national chains that announced local closings recently due to restructuring or bankruptcy proceedings.

Now we have word another nationwide chain is closing stores nationwide, potentially affecting some locations here in the Capital Region.

Advance Auto Parts Announces Nationwide Closures

According to Fox Business, Advance Auto Parts has announced a plan to close more than 700 stores "...S. as it looks to improve its financial performance amid sluggish consumer demand." The Fox report says the affected locations are expected to close by mid-2025.

According to CNN,Advance Auto Parts has not yet provided a list of which stores it plans to close.

The auto parts supplier currently operates 20 locations throughout the Capital Region.

Hopefully, our local Advance Auto Parts locations remain unaffected by this latest round of national retail closures.

CNN says major retailers have announced more than 6,000 store closures this year alone.
