Public Drinking Curb In Troy Leads to 6 Arrests
Some business owners in Troy, along with The Troy Police Department, have been having some issues with some people that were creating a nuisance.
They were allegedly drunk, creating some problems for others and even begging. The Troy Police Department and City Of Troy have a department called Troy’s Community Police Unit to help curb these problems. The unit uses plain clothes officers to do the patrolling.
On Wednesday, the department paid off. Six people were arrested in the areas of Third Street, Congress Street and Fourth Street. This particular incident involved open containers. This was conducted between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and future operations are in the works.
