It's a new chapter for a beloved Troy restaurant that closed in 2021.

It is always a bummer when one of your favorite local businesses calls it a day. That why this story will make some Troy locals pretty happy. Because a new Brunswick restaurant that is getting set to open will be taking over where a popular Troy eatery left off when it closed a little over a year ago.

The Notty Pine, formerly located on 15th Street in Troy, opened in 1945 and was a local favorite for years until it served its final pizza in May of 2021, according to Notes On Napkins. While locals and RPI students were certainly disappointed in it closing, where one great restaurant left off a new one will be taking over.

The Zotto's, who owned the Notty Pine starting in 1987 are planning to open its successor in Brunswick. Note On Napkins says the new eatery, called Zotto's The Pine, is targeting a late November opening at 814 Hoosick Road in Brunswick. The new Zotto's location used to be home to Two Brothers Restaurant and Bar which closed back in August.

The new restaurant can be found on Facebook here, and they are giving updates too on the old Notty Pine Facebook page.
