A well-known supplier of home goods has announced more stores will be closing in the Capital Region.

Last month we heard that Sears Hometown Stores would be closing 3 New York locations, and now another staple on the home goods shopping scene has announced they will be closing 87 more stores nationwide, including 2 more in the Capital Region in Western Massachusetts.

According to a News 10 story, the retailer will be closing a long list of stores nationwide including their Saratoga Springs location on Route 50 and the Bed, Bath, & Beyond on Merrill Road in Pittsfield. No timeline has been determined on when they will close, but this latest round of shutdowns will also affect 24 other locations in New York. The chain recently closed a location last year in Glenmont.
