Police in Saratoga Ask for Help Locating a Woman who has been Missing Since Monday
As of now, little is known about the circumstances surrounding a Saratoga County woman who was reported missing on Monday afternoon, but police are asking for the public's help as they attempt to safely locate her.
According to a Facebook post that was seen by thousands and shared by hundreds, the Saratoga Springs Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Janice Torrezz, and here's what we know so far:
- Janice Torrez was reported missing on Monday, March 13 around 1 pm.
- She was last seen on foot in the area of West Avenue and Washington Street.
- Janice is described as being 5’1” tall and was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket, dark jeans, and a gray and black scarf.
- Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact our agency at 518-584-1800.
Time is always of the essence when it comes to a missing person, and hopefully, today's Nor'easter doesn't thwart the search for Torrez or prevent some new information from coming in.
A Facebook search found that back on February 24th, Torrez started a new job as a lighting consultant at Woberg Electrical Supply in Saratoga Springs. Her new employers said that (Torrez) "moved here from Arizona a few years ago and joins our Wolberg family with many years of customer service experience. She is truly a bright spot in our Saratoga Showroom.
If you or anyone you know has information contact the SSPD at 518-584-1800.
