Personality Psychologist Says Scotty McCreery Will Win American Idol

This is pretty interesting, although you don't have to take it as gospel.  But a noted personality psychologist and college professor has analyzed this to death, and he is convinced that Scotty will be your low note hittin' Idol-

Scott Barry Kaufman, Ph.D teaches at NYU, and in an article in the Huffington Post, the good "doctor" is pretty convinced that, although it's going to be a close call, Scotty McCreery will take the coveted American Idol prize.What is his justification?  He says that "Scotty will win because he sings a popular genre- country music - (you tell em, doc!), that he's non threatening, likeable, dreamy, religious, down to earth" etc.

But he also goes on to say that the bulk of the voting group on this show are "''tween girls and their mothers" and that they also go for the "American Sweetheart" type, which would fit the bill for Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart.

Now this article was written on May 15th.  Things can change in the blink of an eye on this show.   After seeing last nite's show, I thought that Haley seemed to outshine everyone.  Lauren stumbled, and Scotty, although solid and typical "Scotty sounding", didn't do anything to bowl anybody over.  (I can feel the 'tween hate mail coming in now)  But that's just me, 'cuz it's my blog.
