When I first heard that Nichole Kidman was going to play everyone's favorite redhead Lucille Ball I thought the producers and directors were crazy.

To me, Nichole Kidman has never come off as funny, or comedic. She's an amazing actress, just watch her in "Nine Perfect Strangers" she's creepy, but I've never found her funny.

Well, Syracuse University alumnus Aaron Sorkin wrote and directed the new film for Amazon Prime Video and he obviously saw something that I didn't. Good for him because in the new trailer it looks like Nichole Kidman does have some acting chops. I look forward to seeing the movie when it premiers on December 21st.

Of course, Lucille Ball grew up in Western New York in Jamestown. She even returned there after her death in 1989. She was buried in the Lake View Cemetary there.

There were a few other actresses that were mentioned playing Lucy like Debra Messing and Cate Blanchett, but Kidman landed the role. According to Lucy and Desi's daughter, Lucie, she said she has already seen the film and called it “freaking amazing.”

According to SlashFilm, the movie is set during one production week of “I Love Lucy,” when Lucy and Desi “face a crisis that could end their careers and another that could end their marriage.”

Here's the new trailer for the Amazon Prime Film, “Being the Ricardos”.
