They purchased the rides from Hoffman’s Playland in February. They’ll be opening the new Huck Finn’s Playland in just a couple of months.

The board of Empire State Development has officially approved a grant for the new children’s amusement park. It’s a $250,000 dollar grant which will be used to represent a percentage of the total cost to create Huck Finn’s Playland. According to the article in the Times Union, the total cost is $1.8 million dollars, and the grant 14 percent of the cost.

I think that there will be a lot of people very happy that someone is going to carry on an Albany area summertime tradition.
