When I was growing up, we had a bunch of fun attractions to choose from in Lake George. There was Gaslight Village, Frontier Town, Storytown and Magic Forest. Now, one of those is becoming a new attraction.Magic Forest has been around for small kids for the past fifty-five years and now it is changing hands. But, that means that the new owners are adding some interesting attractions to bring more people to the park.

According to News Channel 13, the Gillette family who has owned the park for over fifty years is retiring and a family friend will keep its legacy alive. The Ellsworth family will take it over and keep it a Lake George attraction.

Magic Forest will be known as the Lake George Expedition Park. Most of it will remain the same with the gigantic Uncle Sam and Paul Bunyan, but they will add "Dino Roar Alley".  It will be all things dinosaurs. Kids will be able to do fossil digs, climb on the dinosaurs and take pictures with the giant Titanosaurus.

The Lake George Expedition Park is planning to open Memorial Day weekend 2019.
