More Snow, Freezing Rain For Capital Region & Upstate NY Tuesday
Tuesday's evening commute could be a little messy in the Capital Region.
While we have not gotten a blockbuster storm this month, January has certainly brought a more active pattern of winter weather and that will continue as we get deeper into the work week.
Snow, Ice, and Rain Making Its Way To Upstate New York
A wintry mix is making its way to Upstate New York Tuesday into Wednesday, according to your News Channel 13 First Warning Forecast. A mix of light snow and rain will develop tomorrow afternoon and will contribute to a messy evening commute.
National Weather Service (NWS) snowfall estimates are calling for 1 to 2 inches in the Capital Region will see a coating to 2 inches of snow, with 2 to 3 possible in areas east and west of the greater Albany area.
For some areas, NWS says freezing rain could also be a part of the wintry mix Tuesday and Wednesday.
