Midday Accident Caused Backups In Guilderland

Parts of Route 20 East and West at the Northway were backed up for a while this morning after an accident involving a car and a tractor trailer.The driver of the car, a female from Guilderland was sent to the hospital after being removed from her vehicle. The injuries were believed not to be life threatening. The tractor trailer driver was a t fault according to authorities.

The driver of the tractor trailer was heading South on the Northway and was caught by surprise when he saw the road had a dead end at Western Avenue which he wasn't expecting. More details on the accident here.
