Mayfield High School’s Goodemote – Student-Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Mayfield High School's Britain Goodemote for being this week's 104.5 The Team Student-Athlete of the week! Goodemote is a senior and a three sport varsity athlete at Mayfield High School. According to Mayfield High School athletic director and boys varsity soccer coach, Jon Caraco says that "academically, Britain is on course to be the valedictorian and has a 100+ average, taking all of the most challenging courses that the Mayfield school district offers. Goodemote has played four years on the varsity soccer team, three years on varsity basketball and will compete in track for the fourth year this spring." That is an impressive resume for the Mayfield senior!

Goodemote has been a captain on all three of his teams, voted by his peers due to his work ethic and his ability to lead by example. Britain was recently voted the league MVP in soccer for a team that was a WAC champion and Section II, Class C Co-Champion. In basketball, Goodemote is a starter and leads the offense. In track, Britain will be challenging for school records in two events this spring, triple jump and four by 100 relay.
Coach Caraco says that Britain can always be counted on to do volunteer for community service. The senior has worked countless sports clinics, done fall clean ups at local historic sites, volunteered at the elementary school for everything possible. 3 for 3 for Britain Goodemote. The best of luck to him the rest of the year!
