Louis C.K. Coming to The Egg, with Restrictions
Louis C.K. has been the subject of many angry discussions involving the #MeToo movement, but that hasn't stopped his career and he's coming to the Capital Region.
The Times Union has announced that Louis C.K. will be coming back to Albany after coming to the FunnyBone Albany and Comedy Works around this time last year.
Louis C.K. will be performing at The Egg on Tuesday, March 10th at 8:00pm. Tickets went on sale on Monday and will all cost $50.75. As of Wednesday morning, 700 tickets have already been sold.
The last time Louis C.K. was in the area, he announced the shows about 12 hours in advance which caused quite the stir and demand and led to the shows selling out almost immediately. He'll be continuing with a tour where he already has announced about 30 other stops.
The Louis C.K. show does come with some rules, according to The Egg event page:
Louis CK owns all rights in the content and materials, including any jokes and sketches (the “Materials”), delivered during his performance. The Materials may not be copied, translated, transmitted, displayed, distributed, or reproduced verbatim (the “Use”), in whole or in part, in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, without the express prior written consent of Louis CK. Any Use of the Materials without the express prior written consent of Louis CK is strictly prohibited and shall be subject to all available legal remedies, whether in equity or at law at the cost of anyone who violates this prohibition.
Most rules are to stop people from recording on their smartphones. In this show, phones will be kept in Yondr pouches. Yondr pouches are locked and kept with you to keep you from using your phone and then unlocked as you leave the venue. It does allow for use outside of the theatre during the show.
