They've mentioned Ric Orlando, Coccadotts, and more but the newest Capital Region business to be featured on the Food Network is in the form of a holiday challenge.

Dan Raymond, owner of Zachary's Pastry Shoppe in East Greenbush as well as the satellite shop in Albany, was featured on the Food Network show "Holiday Baking Challenge," according to the Times Union. The first episode of this season was on last night and will continue to be on Monday nights at 9:00pm.

The show features nine bakers who are baking their way to winning a $25,000 prize. As you can assume from the title, each challenge will involve having to bake a different kind of holiday-themed treat in hopes of not being eliminated.

Last night, each baker had to create pumpkin spice creations and yule log mashups. Luckily for us, Raymond made it through, did not get eliminated, and you can continue to cheer him on to take it all the way to the end!
