It usually means the weather is finally becoming nice. People that put their cars on display at these shows are always very proud of how much work they’ve put into them, especially the classic cars. Even if you’re not into cars, these shows are always interesting and fun to attend.

There’s one particular annual car show that’s going to help a local organization. The nineteenth annual Steamer Car Show on Sunday, May 4 at the Stillwater High School. If you, or if you know someone, that has a car that they’d like to show off, why not sign up? It’s a chance to show off and maybe win a prize for all of the hard work. You can email jeri590@nycap.rr.com for more information.

You’ll be able to register your car at the gate before 1:00 p.m. The cost of your donation (which is $10 dollars) to enter, will help the Stillwater Fire Department’s Steamer Fund. That will help the Stillwater Fire Department protect some very important pieces of their history. In addition to the cars, they’ll have music, food and more.

It will be an afternoon of fun that won’t cost anything if you’d like to stop by and take in the scenery. It's definitely fun for the entire family.
