Little Big Town to Host CMA Music Festival
Little Big Town is heading back to Nashville next week to host the 2014 CMA Music Festival. This is the second time around for the country supergroup and if this promo is any indication, it looks like they are going to have even more fun hosting this year.
The hilarious video features Little Big Town (who will also perform their newest single, 'Day Drinking' at the CMT Awards on June 4) strutting through the halls of LP Field on their way to emcee the event ... only to find that the enormous Tennessee Titans football stadium is completely empty.
"So, where is everybody," wonders Jimi Westbrook, with his bandmate (and wife), Karen Fairchild adding, "They did ask us to host again, right?" And while everyone seems a bit confused as wind whips through the empty arena, one member of the group doesn't even know what's going on.
"Wait ... so what are we doing here," asks Phillip Sweet. "Hello! We're hosting CMA Music Fest again!" quips Kimberly Schlapman, to which her partner lowers his sunglasses and replies, "Ahhhh! Well, I do love a good party."
And party, we will. LP Field may be empty for now, but with LBT back in the hosting seat and a lineup that features the very best in country music, we don't think they'll have too much trouble filling the seats. In fact all four days are sold out!
The 2014 CMA Music Festival will be June 5-8, promising 424 music acts on 12 stages throughout downtown Nashville, including LP Field. For more info on tickets, lineups and other details visit the CMA Fest website. Fans who can't be there in person can catch lots of the action on August 5, when ABC airs 'Country's Night to Rock,' which will include all the highlights from the three-day fest.
