Kelsea Ballerini has performed inside the famed Grand Ole Opry circle many times throughout her career, and a new video showcases one of her more powerful recent sets.

On April 19, Ballerini took the stage at the famed venue in Nashville, Tenn., for a stirring cover of "Ghost in This House." Originally recorded by Shenandoah in 1990 and later by Alison Krauss, the song tells the story of heartbreak and is a personal favorite for the "Peter Pan" singer.

"This one caught my heart a long time ago, and this is the first time I've ever sung it," Ballerini told the Opry audience. "If you mess up Alison Krauss, you're voted off the island. So hopefully I do it justice."

Dressed in long-sleeved pink romper, Ballerini did the song justice with her whispered vocals and light acoustic guitar accompaniment.

The rising star revisited the Opry earlier this month, where she celebrated a major career achievement: she’s already gone gold with "Peter Pan." She has earned more than 500,000 sales and streams of the song in the U.S. alone. Worldwide, the tune has racked up 17.5 million streams on Spotify.

"Peter Pan" was written by Ballerini, Jesse Lee and Forest Glen Whitehead and is the third single from her debut album The First Time, following the No. 1 hits “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs.” Ballerini was surprised with her RIAA plaque after she stepped offstage at the Grand Ole Opry on Aug. 10 by her label, Black River Entertainment.

“It’s my favorite song that I’ve gotten to share with you so far, and the fact that you’ve embraced it has meant the world to me,” she said in a video message to fans. “Thank you for changing my life every day.”
