Come on - you all know Kip Moore.  "Something Bout A Truck". "Beer Money".  Great songs.  But you didn't know just how great of a person he is.I saw this in the Times Union today. (Nice to see the TU covering country music, by the way.  Kudos!)

It's a story about the charitable things that this guy is involved with and noone knows about (until now).

It seems that Kip wanted to help poor kids, so down in Maryland he opened up a skate park that he's helping to fund.  It's coordinated with Kip's Kids Funds..

This isn't the only park they are working on.  They have more planned - one in Texas and two more in Nashville and Boston.

He feels that when kids are skateboarding it's a "safe place for them"

He wants to take this idea nationally and expand it to other projects to help the underprivileged.  I'm making a rather blanket stereotypical statement here, but I really feel that the country artists seem to have the most heart.  Maybe it's because many of them came from humble beginnings?  Who knows, but it's so nice to see somebody doing something great with his fame and money.

Here's Kip's website if you'd like to learn more about all the good things he's doing.
