Jersey Boys,The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, is currently showing at one of our premier Albany-area venues, Proctors Theater in Schenectady, New York.

If you're looking for a great night of music and memories, this show will hit the spot!   The story of these music makers is fast-paced and fun to follow. Not unlike the story of other musicians, the musical takes you on a journey of their rise to the top of the charts, the inevitable crash and break-up, and the joyous triumphant return.

Brad Weinstock plays the role of Frankie Valli, and is the perfect compliment to the other Four Seasons played by Brandon Andrus, Colby Foytik, and Jason Kappus.  As someone who did not follow the career of these Rock and Roll pioneers, I can tell you that I almost felt like I was watching the original group.  The retro stage set, complete with vintage instruments and old time television cameras, completely took me back in time!

The captivating inspirational story mixed with hits like 'Sherry' 'Walk Like A Man' 'Big Girls Don't Cry' and 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You' make quite a statement of their contribution to the American Songbook.  As you leave the theater with 'December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night)' stuck in your head, you have either become a new fan or you completely understand why they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  By the way, if you have a tough time getting your partner to the theater, this is one show that he or she may thank you for dragging them along!

Jersey Boys is playing at Proctors Theater through March 18, with the 'real' Frankie Valli and the Four Season performing on Thursday, May 10, 2012.
