Upstate New York Casting Call for This Peacock Series, Can You Play Ball?
With all of the TV shows and movies filming in the Empire State this summer, New York is more Hollywood than Hollywood is. Season 3 of the Gilded Age, for example, is currently filming in the Stockade District of Schenectady as well as locations around Troy, NY with many Capital Region residents filling roles as background actors.
Now you have the opportunity to be part of the latest production to film in New York. There is a casting call for season 2 of the popular Peacock series Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne as crime solver "Charlie". Let's see if you fit any of these roles.
Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for actors with real experience to play minor league baseball players. If you are in your 20's or 30's and have played ball producers want to hear from you. Send an email to pokerface@gwcnyc.com with the subject line "FB - Baseball Players". Here are some of the items to include:
- Name and Phone Number
- Baseball Experience, what level and which position you played
- Do you have any visible tattoos? If so, where are they located?
- Note all of your current sizes (height, weight, shoe size, etc)
Are you able to play baseball well? Can you throw, catch, bat on a high school or collegiate level? Are you available for shooting? Tentative shoot dates in Upstate New York are August 27, 2024 through September 10, 2024. This could be your chance to knock it out of the park, so to speak.
Season 1 of Poker Face was filmed in Poughkeepsie, Beacon, New Paltz and throughout the Hudson Valley. Take a look at some of the locations.
