Everyone has their opinion when it comes to chicken wings. The texture, the size, the flavor. It all comes into play and it also is very subjective. Declaring something is the best wing is not something to be taken lightly. It comes down to personal preference most of the time. What is best to you may not be best to someone else.

New York is arguably the chicken wing capital thanks to a little place called Buffalo where the Buffalo wing was born. But Buffalo itself may not be home to the best wings in the state. In a video floating around Facebook user Discovery Matt posted a top 10 of the best chicken wings in all of New York state.

Two Best Wing Places In the Capital Region

On his list of rankings he puts The Ruck in Try in the 8th spot and right on top of them is Ralph's Tavern in Albany at number seven. I will fully admit that I have not tried wings from The Ruck, but they always come highly recommended. You all already know how highly I rank Ralph's on my wing list. They're my favorite in the Capital Region.

I'm glad to see Ralph's get on this list, and I feel vindicated since so many folks told me that I was wrong. Clearly they're ranked as the best wing in our area based on this.

It appears that Buffalo took the top two spots on the list, and below them were all Central and Western New York locations. I was totally surprised that Duff's didn't make the list especially since it is also held in such high regard amongst wing lovers.
