It’s Jail Time For Former Albany Empire Owner Antonio Brown
Some things just take too long in life, like former Albany Empire owner and destroyer Antonio Brown being held accountable for his actions. However, this weekend, the former NFL lightning-rod found himself locked up behind bars.
Brown's ownership and destruction of Albany's arena football franchise was nothing short of criminal behavior. Dan Bahl from 104.5 The Team documented the tragic franchise's descent. Now, Tom Brady's former wide receiver finds himself in trouble and again, it's for skirting his responsibilities.
According to David Matthews of nydailynews.com, Antonio Brown was arrested and processed on Sunday by the Broward County Sheriff for failing to pay upwards of $31,000 in child support. Wiltrice Jackson is the mother of Brown's daughter Antanyiah. Jackson told TMZ, "I do want him arrested. Because, right now, he's making a mockery of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he's untouchable." Brown's behavior in Albany would certainly be consistent with that statement.
Antonio Brown has been nothing but trouble since his days in the NFL. Brown completely ruined his father's good name in the Albany community. In addition to blowing up the Empire and not paying child support, the dailynews.com noted that in 2022, a warrant was issued for Brown's arrest in Tampa, Florida for an alleged domestic battery incident involving Chelsie Kyriss.
Brown and Kyriss have four children together. The warrant was withdrawn when Kyriss took back her allegations against Brown. The 35-year old Brown was also charged with with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief after allegedly assaulting a truck driver parked in front of his Hollywood, Florida home back in 2020. Really good guy. Hopefully, Antonio Brown can get his life together and stop ruining the lives of others. Brown was released after a few hours on $15,000 bond and will have to appear in court.
