Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicts What Fall Will Look Like in New York

If you’re already looking ahead to cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, and maybe a break from the summer heat, the Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its fall forecast — and they’re predicting a season that could have some ups and downs here in New York.

According to the forecast, much of the Northeast, including New York, could see a fall with temperatures that are a little warmer than normal. So if you’re hoping to pull out the sweaters and jackets right away, you may have to wait a little longer.

The Almanac is predicting a mix of weather across the region, with periods of warmer-than-average temperatures along with some cooler stretches as we get deeper into the season. In other words, classic New York fall weather — where you might need shorts in the afternoon and a jacket by dinner.
