How Much Does it Really Cost to Live in New York State

New York is one of the most expensive states to live in.

But, that's not news to any one of us who already live here!  In a new study by Zippia.com calculated how much it would cost to support two adults and one child in each state. The results varied with Washington D.C., Hawaii, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York being the most expensive, with minimum incomes ranging from $59,128 to $68,000.  And in the least expensive states—Kentucky, Arkansas, and West Virginia—you can support yourself, a partner, and a child for just under $45,000.

According to this study, the minimum income it takes to live in New York with your lover and a kid, is......

$59,000!
