The two seeking approval are Excelsior Cannabis, LLC, which hopes to open a store on Weibel Avenue, and Reverie 73 NY LLC, which wants to establish a dispensary at Kaydeross Avenue West.

Excelsior Cannabis will present its proposal to the Planning Board, although the owner is not clearly mentioned in the documents according to the Daily Gazette. They plan to set up the dispensary within an existing commercial space, with a focus on security. They intend to use nearby undeveloped land for extra parking and extend the sidewalk without altering the building's exterior. Their security system will include alarms and cameras to protect the premises, send alerts in case of issues, and have backup power.

They plan to have 15 employees, including managers, sales staff, and security personnel, operating daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. With a maximum of five employees during peak hours.

Where is The 2nd Dispensary Hoping to Open?

Reverie 73 NY LLC is also seeking permission to open a dispensary in the rear part of Kaydeross Avenue West, where PJs Barbeque and a former A&W Restaurant are located.

They already operate in Massachusetts and aim to apply their experience in managing customer flow through walk-ins and appointments.

The company believes its dispensary would complement the mixed-use area and plans to design the new building to match the existing structure, enhancing the site's appearance.
