I was watching one of my favorite shows, "Impractical Jokers," when I first learned about "escape rooms." One of the guys on the show had to get locked in this room with a bunch of people that have to find and decipher clues to get out. The "bit" was that he would do things to totally embarrass himself in front of these people who were stuck with him until they figured out how to get the door open.  While he was successful and the skit was funny, what I really remember thinking was, "Wow that looks like so much fun why don't we have anything like that around here?" Well, now we do and I can't wait to try it.

The company is Tru-Escape Mystery And Escape Rooms and they have locations in Schenectady, Clifton Park and Queensbury. As I understand it the Rotterdam location is indeed open and the Queensbury location will be ready in a few weeks and Clifton Park in September. I can't wait to try this out with some friends.

On the website they say this can also be a great team building exercise for companies to use and maybe even have different departments compete to see who works best with each other. I think it would be fun to try out with my friends as well.

If you have tried it please let me know what you think.
