Happy Birthday To Chely Wright [VIDEO]

Today is Chely Wright's birthday. Chely was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She has written songs with Brad Paisley and also for Clay Walker. Chely has had several albums and singles in her career. One of the more popular singles was "Shut Up and Drive."

She was a performing musician working in Branson. A job she did just before her senior year of high school.

Chely founded the Reading, Writing & Rhythm foundation, to help improve musical education in our public schools. her foundation donates instruments to schools around the country. (This is not associated with Richie Phillip's Readin', Writin' and Rhymin' program, which is for Albany area schools)

Chely's biggest and most popular hit is "Single White Female."
